About NHSA Membership
Becoming a member of NHSA is good for networking and finding sponsors for your local Hellenic Student Associations (HSAs). As a NHSA member, your HSA will expand its activities outside of your area, coordinate efforts with other Greeks, Greek-Americans and Cypriots who form a strong academic, professional and living community in the US nowadays. How can our local HSA become a member of the NHSA?
In order to become a NHSA member, one member of your local HSA executive Board has to sign the NHSA Membership Agreement, after reading the NHSA Constitution. The membership needs to be renewed every year (in October, assuming that you will have host elections by then) after an invitation email which will be sent by the NHSA Vice President of Internal Affairs to the person who served as the main contact person during the previous school year, or to the Board’s email address (if applicable). Make sure that the Board members of one year will be in contact with the Board members the next year.
Membership Fee
There is no fixed fee for becoming a member of the NHSA. However, contributions are very much needed and welcome! They should be addressed to the NHSA Treasurer, after contacting him/her and arranging the transfer accordingly. Certain HSAs, for example, can reserve a specific amount of money ($20-$100) in their yearly budget to contribute to NHSA.
