Convention Agenda
The NHSA Convention Spring 2010 marked the second assembly of our member HSAs since the reestablishment of the organization in Connecticut, during March 2009 while, in addition, it was our Elections Convention for 2010. The convention also gave an opportunity for the many new member-HSAs to be represented and get acclimated in the NHSA workings.
After an exceptional Fall Convention hosted by the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor, the National Hellenic Student Association held its Spring Convention in conjunction with the 19th Hermes Expo International (Atlantic City, NJ) and the SAE Youth. Thus, it was a great opportunity for the NHSA Members to interact with other members of the Hellenic-American Youth, professionals and individuals with great contribution in their business, political and science fields.
Our main Convention goal was to elect our new Board that would maintain the progress and the coherence of the Organization and lead the NHSA to new levels of success.
However, as the chances for the NHSA Members to physically meet are few within each year, we took advantage of this opportunity to make our members aware of the economic and political situation in Greece and 1) discuss the current financial turmoil in Greece and 2) find ways to participate in our country’s effort to present a common front through the student activities at American Universities.
