For those interested in running for a position on the NHSA Executive Board should pick one or more of the positions below and complete the application. Please read the NHSA Constitution for a detailed description of the positions (Article III - Organizational Structure; page 4-9). If you wish to run for an elected or appointed position, the registration form must be completed.

Appoint positions are selected by the newly elected executive board and will not appear in the election process, however, are still required to complete the candidacy application
Elected Positions
- President
- Set policies and determines NHSA’s strategy/goals
- Directs all NHSA operations, events, and initiatives
- Represents NHSA as a fiduciary both at NHSA events and at Hellenic events nationwide
- Develops and maintains relationships with the Hellenic community including prominent individuals, organizations, and members
- Lead, inspire, and manage the executive board to fulfill NHSA’s mission, execute events/initiatives, and accomplish the Associations goals via the preset strategy
- Preside over events/meetings/functions
- Vice President
- Leads/oversees special tasks/initiatives, such as convention planning, delegation of internal operations, as well as the organization’s financial resources
- Engage in public speaking at NHSA events and/or Hellenic events
- Assists in developing and maintaining relationships with prominent individuals, organizations, and members
- Lead, inspire, and manage the executive board, in tandem with the President, to fulfill NHSA’s mission
- Aid President & general operations of NHSA
- Director of Operations
- Manage activities of all directors to ensure proper execution of tasks and responsibilities
- Oversee all operations of NHSA
- Coordinate tasks and communication between committees (PR & Press; Finance; Marketing; IT)
- Ensures timely execution of tasks and reports status to the President or Vice President
- Develop a plan for proper execution and documentation of deliverables
- Treasurer
- Creates and manages organizational and event (convention and initiative) budgets
- Advise the President/Executive Board on budgeting and present status report on financial standing of the organization
- Keep accurate/timely financial records/documentation
- Develop a fundraising strategy along with the President and Chairman
- Oversee the Finance Committee
- Director of Communications
- Monitor incoming communication, develop / compose and/or proof outgoing communication
- Build and maintain relations with other Hellenic organizations as well as Greek study programs and member chapters
- Maintain media context and distribute press releases
- Director of Marketing
- Develop short term and long term marketing strategies
- Manage the outward ‘face’/image/brand of NHSA
- Oversee content creation, social media campaigns, and implement marketing strategy
- Analyze data analytics of Facebook promotions and website traffic
- Director of Special Projects & Initiatives
- Execute, oversee, and manage existing initiatives (including Beach Clean-up, Virtual Stock Market Competition, etc.)
- Conceptualize/develop new initiatives that appeal to members
Appointed Positions

- Finance Director
- Work under Treasurer
- Assist Treasurer in finance related issues
- Help with forecasts, budgeting, and staying up to date with the finances of NHSA
- Logistics Director
- Take meeting minutes at all Executive Board and general assembly meetings
- Keep all records of all documents
- Plan internal Convention logistics such as Itineraries, run of shows, etc
- IT Director
- Manage and Update NHSA’s official website
- Engage and introduce technological innovation(s) towards key assets such as communication platforms, website design, and data science
- Manage all technological logistics before and during NHSA events
