Executive Board
President: Georgios Araujo
Georgios Araujo was born and raised in Manhasset Hills, New York. His cultural background shares the rich customs of both Greek and Portuguese traditions. Georgios attended Adelphi University in Garden City, NY, where he graduated with a BS in Molecular Neuroscience. While earning his degree, Georgios founded the Hellenic Society at Adelphi University and served as president for two consecutive terms. This position allowed him to collaborate with a variety of student organizations on campus, as well as at other universities, all to help promote Hellenism.
While looking to expand his club’s overall membership and obtain national recognition, he explored NHSA’s mission and values, and gained membership. Georgios was invited to apply for a board position after his continued communication and efforts to get involved. Georgios was appointed as the Northeast Regional Director in his first year, and elected as Vice President in his second year with NHSA. It is with great enthusiasm to share that Georgios has been elected as President for the 2022 calendar year. He eagerly awaits to apply his past experiences towards his presidential position! He is confident to make lasting positive impacts with the communities that NHSA is connected with, all while helping to uphold a strong Greek community, and guiding the executive board and young adults across North America. |
Vice President: Stephanie Papoutsakis
Stephanie Papoustakis was born and raised in New York! Her Hellenic roots stem from Crete, on her Father’s side, and from Nisyros and Evia, on her Mother’s side. In the spring of 2021, she graduated with a Bachelors of Science in Business at St. John’s University in New York. In 2022, she graduated from St. John’s with her Master’s of Business Administration Degree concentrated in Risk and Financial Advisory. Stephanie is currently working as a Staff Internal Auditor at Atlas Air!
As a student at St. John’s University, she participated in campus events and was actively engaged with the Hellenic Society. As President of the HSA, she recruited members and grew the club’s overall roster to 100 active members. She inspired members to become more active during meetings, fundraisers, and events. While President, her outgoing personality helped her to coordinate events on campus with other university organizations as well as with other universities within the Tri-state area! This will be Stephanie’s third year on the NHSA Executive Board! Her past positions include Director of Operations and Northeast Regional Director. In the Fall of 2021, she was also named one of the Co-Convention Chairs for our New York City Convention! Her attention to detail, determination, and networking skills have prepared her for her exciting new role this year as the Vice President. Stephanie is excited to continue promoting and advocating for the values that NHSA stands by! |
Director Of Operations: Thomas Psarianos
Thomas, having been heavily involved in the Greek Community of Toronto from a young age, took his passion for community involvement one step further after being elected President of the University of Toronto Greek Student Association. During his tenure, the Organization experienced unprecedented membership growth and expanded its network across Canada. His leadership was instrumental in forming a unified network of Greek student organizations across Ontario, while also contributing to local events and initiatives within his own community. Thomas graduated from the University of Toronto in Spring of 2022, with a degree in Political Science, Philosophy, and History. In addition to his degree, Thomas just recently completed a political internship with the former minister of tourism and culture in Athens, Greece.
Thomas looks forward to using his leadership experience to expand NHSA's presence in Canada and to continue growing the thriving network of Greek students and young professionals across North America. |
Treasurer: Tia Kotsiopoulos
Tia Kotsiopoulos is a second-generation Greek American who was born and raised in Barrington, IL. She recently graduated in May 2022 with her Bachelor’s in Marketing from Loyola University Chicago and will be earning her MBA from Loyola as well this upcoming May! In undergrad, Tia was the president of the Hellenic Student Association her senior year, and was a member of Loyola’s OCF. Tia has always been well-versed in the Greek community and is deeply involved within the Metropolis of Chicago. She serves on the YAL Chicago Executive Board, as well as on the steering committee for the YAL Chicago Conference.
Tia’s paternal side stems from Kalamata; and her maternal side from Athens. She has always been passionate about promoting her Hellenism, and embraces authentic traditions and customs. Tia is thrilled to be a part of the NHSA executive board for the third year, and this time serving as the Treasurer. NHSA has played a key role in her meeting with young professionals, and building a network of individuals from across the entirety of North America and Canada. Tia is looking forward to her new role this year, and to seeing what opportunities NHSA can provide to all of our new members, convention attendees, while playing a role in creating positive experiences for our international Greek community |
Director of Communications: Maria Mamouzelos
Maria Mamouzelos is a first-generation Greek American whose roots run deep in the island of Kalymnos. She was born and raised in Valparaiso, IN and attended college at University of Illinois at Chicago, where she achieved her Bachelors of Science in Nutrition and Dietetics in December of 2022. Maria served many roles during her undergraduate time at UIC, including many positions in the Hellenic Student Association, Women in Medicine Association, and a continued position in the start up of the non-profit organization, Hellenic Healthcare Professionals of Michigan. Maria also serves her Kalymnian heritage through the PanKalymnian Federation of America.
Maria’s paternal and maternal side stem from the island of Kalymnos, which has played such a huge role in her passion for the sponge-diving centered island. Her father’s role as a restaurant owner and chef started the spark in her love for cooking at a young age. This admiration for cooking is the foundation underneath her current endeavors in pursuing a career in Osteopathic medicine. Maria is serving NHSA for her third year, and thanks the organization for the skills it has taught her, connections it has provided, and sense of leadership it developed for her. She is so ecstatic to be serving this year in a new position as Director of Communications, while continuing to connect Hellenic students throughout all of North America and Canada. |
Director of Special Projects & Initiatives:
Simoni Zarkada
Simoni Zarkada is a second-year PhD student in Counseling Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She was born and raised in Athens, Greece and moved to the US for her graduate studies in 2021. She has completed a BSc in Psychology at the University of Athens and a minor in Communication at Deree, The American College of Greece. She also studied abroad for a semester at the University of Virginia. She is currently in her second year of her PhD studying Counseling Psychology at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign.
She has taken part in two NHSΑ conventions so far: in New York and in San Francisco during the years 2021-2022. Also, she has participated in the beach clean-up in Crete this past summer. In addition to being part of the board of the NHSA, she is also part of the executive committee of the New Leaders of The Hellenic Initiative and a member of the OCF in the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. She is passionate about psychology, yoga, well-being, traveling and trying out new restaurants. She is very excited to join the NHSA board and looks forward to future connections! |
Director of Marketing: Anastasia Vonortas
Anastasia Vonortas is a first-generation Greek American, born and raised in Canton, Ohio. Her hellenic roots stem from Chios (maternal) and Nafpaktos (paternal). Anastasia is a graduate of The University of Akron, where she obtained her Bachelor of Business Administration in Integrated Marketing Communications in 2021. She works as a digital marketing manager at LUMIS - a strategic marketing firm located in downtown Akron.
Outside of work, you can find Anastasia surrounding herself with friends and family, staying active, taking sporadic weekend road trips, or sipping on a frappe. Anastasia is excited to continue her fourth year with NHSA by integrating her passion for marketing with her love for her Hellenic heritage |
Finance Director: Demetrios Skoumbakis
Demetrios Skoumbakis was born and raised in Chania, Crete. In 2019, after taking the Panelladikes exams and entering the National Kapodistrian University of Athens, he decided to move to the United States to study Mathematics and Economics at Long Island University (LIU) instead.
At LIU he graduated as the Valedictorian of the LIU Class of 2022, while he played and captained the men’s varsity soccer team. In his last year, he was selected as the Goalkeeper of the Year in the Northeast conference (NEC), and the MVP in the 2021 tournament, in which the LIU Sharks won their first championship. Demetrios was also selected as the male student-athlete of the year at LIU and the scholar athlete of the year in NEC. In 2022, after graduation, he decided to continue his academic and athletic career at Fordham University where he is currently pursuing his masters of Finance at the Gabelli School of Business. Demetrios is also working as a hedge fund portfolio administrator at Select Equity Group in New York City. His goal is to pursue a successful career in financial services and get in a position where he can help Greek young adults pursue their dreams in any desired area. He is very excited to be on the NHSA board and looks forward to our conventions |
Recruitment Director: Maria Euripides
Maria Euripides was born and raised in Northern Virginia. She is a fourth-year student at Virginia Tech pursuing a degree in Biology and Human Nutrition with the hopes of becoming a Physicians Associate. She currently serves as the President of the Hellenic Student Association at Virginia Tech, which she created three years ago and has since built to include approximately 200 registered members. She also serves as the Virginia District Student Leader for the Orthodox Christian Fellowship, frequently reaching out to and connecting with the OCF Chapters at each university around the commonwealth.
Maria has Cypriot roots stemming from her fathers side, and Corinthian roots from her mothers side. She loves attempting to make "yiayias recipes'', Greek dancing, and going on spontaneous trips! Maria is so excited to meet and serve with everyone through NHSA as Recruitment Director and to make this a productive and memorable year! |
Logistics Director: Georgia Tsakos
Georgia Tsakos is a first-generation Greek-American and sophomore at the college of Lake Forest in Illinois. On her paternal side, her Hellenic roots come from Chalkida, Evia, while her maternal side come from Kastri, Arcadia. She is currently double majoring in History and Global Politics and minoring in Classical Studies. During her freshman year at Lake Forest College, she founded the college’s first Hellenic Student Association and has been serving as the co-president along with her twin sister. She joined the NHSA board as a regional director and will now be going into 2023 as Logistics Director.
Georgia attends Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church in Libertyville, Illinois. There, you will find her leading liturgical services as the head female chanter. Byzantine music has been an integral part of her life as she was proposed with the opportunity to chant at the age of 14. In her free time, you will find her spending most of it with family or reading about the history of Ancient Greece, Byzantium, or Greek Independence. She is very excited to be a part of the NHSA executive board and looks forward to future NHSA conventions! |
IT Director: Agis Diamantis
Agis Diamantis was born and raised in the Detroit area. He is a graduate from the University of Michigan-Dearborn having studied Computer and Information Science, he is now a software engineer at INFOR.
In June of last year, he was nominated and elected to be the AHEPA District #10 Treasurer where he has also updated and is currently helping maintain their website. Before becoming the Treasurer, he was the AHEPA District #10 Secretary. Agis is excited to be the IT Director for another year as he wishes to help continue the sense of community that the Greeks have established by going to local events and inviting as many people as he can in the process. |
Regional Directors
Great Lakes: Yanni Motter
Yanni Motter was born and grew up in Des Plaines, Illinois. He is a third-generation Greek American, with roots stemming from Tripoli and Nestani. He is currently attending Southern Illinois University, majoring in Automotive Technology and minoring in Workforce Education & Advanced Vehicle Systems/ Diagnostics. He is on track to graduate in May of 2023 at SIU. Yanni has been involved in various organizations and activities within the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago such as being a counselor since 2019 for Fanari Summer Camp. And is currently a part of the Young Adult League of Chicago's conference board where he is a part of the planning committee for this year's service project.
While Continuing his work and involvement with the Metropolis of Chicago he wanted to expand his involvement. After hearing about such great experiences and values of NHSA through friends. He decided to apply to the board and was appointed Regional Director of the Great Lakes. With enthusiasm and excitement, he accepted the position and is passionate about promoting and spreading NHSA qualities. He plans on helping to spread and build upon the growing amount of young adults apart of NHSA and to increase important aspects such as values, culture, and community. |
Canada - Toronto: Helena Syrianos
Helena is in her third year of studies at the University of Toronto, pursuing a major in Cognitive Science and a double minor in Science, Technology, and Society, and Urban Studies, with hopes of integrating her various, multidisciplinary interests. Aside from academics, Helena has immersed herself into a multitude of leadership opportunities over the years that have all revolved around making a positive impact, while simultaneously fulfilling her desire for affiliation and camaraderie which have ultimately broadened her perspective of life. Helena’s high aspirations and intrinsic motivation in collaboration with her desire to apply her strengths to serve a greater purpose has led to her innate inclination for leadership. Her strong involvement in associations ever since her elementary years, including her immersion within Hellenic communities fuelled by her profound pride in her heritage, is an attestation of her dedication and zest for her endeavours. As a proud Toronto born and raised second-generation Greek Canadian, with Hellenic roots from Zakynthos, Evia, Thessalia, and Arcadia, her culture has always served as a foundational aspect of her identity and has guided her throughout her entire life.
Helena’s passions for her Greek heritage and team/leadership positions in conjunction with her extensive experience in both departments will allow her to thrive in her position of the 2023 Toronto Regional Director. From assisting NHSA’s Toronto local planning committee to being the Director of Cultural Affairs one year and the Vice President of Public Relations another year for University of Toronto’s Greek Students’ Association, to representing the Toronto District School Board for their Greek Heritage Month celebration as the Master of Ceremony and event facilitator, to serving as the head and founder of her high school’s Greek club within the Multicultural Association, to representing Toronto through being awarded a scholarship at the Royal Ontario Museum from the Hellenic Canadian Academic Association, to belonging and contributing to the Greek Language Program through the University of Toronto, to leading high school social events for the Greek Language Credit School at the Greek Community of Toronto, her previous and on-going experiences will contribute insight to her work within Toronto’s Hellenic community and the NHSA as a whole. Within the scope of her responsibilities as the Toronto Regional Director, Helena hopes to expand the outreach and foster more unity within the Greek population of students and youth professionals in Toronto, and connect Hellenic associations throughout Canada as a whole to further promote the mission of the NHSA. Considering the membership and representation of the NHSA is not as prominent in Canada as it is in the United States, she aims to expand the scope of the Canadian reach by connecting further Greek communities from coast to coast of the country, in addition to creating more unity among member chapters in Toronto. |
Canada - Montreal: George Rigas
A son of a Greek father and Canadian mother, Georges sees the importance of existing in a continuously changing Canadian society all while maintaining strong Hellenic roots. He is currently a student pursuing his undergraduate’s studies in Economics at McGill University hoping to one day add a human touch to the world of economic models and theories. Georges is a passionate young Hellene who wonders what role he might play in the cosmopolitan world we live in today.
Georges holds dear to his heart the success of Hellenism in Montreal, sitting on the board of the McGill Hellenic Student Association, the Hellenic Scholarship Foundation, the Socrates Educational Foundation, and the Hellenic Community of Great Montreal. His connections and willpower are key in helping the NHSA succeed in its goals of connecting with the Greek Diaspora’s youth and furthering its reach into Montreal Greek society. He is looking forward to joining a team of students who strive to preserve Hellenic identity in North America! |
Mideast: Sophia Angeletakis
Sophia Angeletakis is a second-generation Greek American born and raised in Orange County, California and currently lives in Wilmington, Delaware. Sophia’s maternal side is from Pylos, Messinia and her paternal side is from Athens. She recently graduated from the University of Delaware in May 2022 with her Bachelors in Health Behavior Science and minors in Social Entrepreneurship and Biology. She is continuing her education at the University of Delaware getting her Masters in Health Promotion. During her undergrad, she was the President of UD’s Orthodox Christian Fellowship for 2 years as well as the outreach chair for the Hellenic Student Association. Currently she is on the National YAL Committee representing Delaware Valley and the Metropolis of New Jersey. She attends Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church and also is part of Philadelphia’s Pontian Dance group. Anyone that knows Sophia will say that her culture is the biggest part of her identity as she is extremely passionate about enriching herself and her community with the morals and values of Hellenism. Sophia joined NHSA to further this goal and advocate for her community’s growth through her position as Regional Director of the Mideast. In her free time, you can find Sophia running her Etsy shop or traveling with friends! She is very excited to begin her role here and work with Greek leaders from all over North America to promote the values of NHSA and Hellenism.

New England: Irene-Maria Chrysostomou
Irene-Maria Chrysostomou is a first-generation Greek American born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. She has been very involved in her Greek community from a young age, attending A. Fantis Greek Parochial School and Saints Constantine and Helen Greek Orthodox Cathedral of Brooklyn. Her Hellenic roots stem from Paphos, Cyprus on her father’s side; and Ganochora, Katerini and Karvelas, Gytheio on her mother’s side. She has spent most summers visiting family in both Greece and Cyprus, further strengthening her love for her culture and background.
Irene is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration and Management Boston University (BU) Questrom School of Business, while minoring in Modern Greek Studies at the College of Arts and Sciences, expecting to graduate in May of 2024. She is also currently the Secretary of the BU Hellenic Association. This is Irene’s first time serving on the NHSA board, and she is excited to meet Greeks from all over the US and Canada and help the NHSA spread their values. She is passionate about her Greek culture and looks forward to helping unite Greeks throughout New England as the Regional Director of New England. She is thrilled to build her network and meet new people, while strengthening her own culture and helping promote Hellenism and NHSA values to prospective members of the NHSA. |
North Central: Konstantine Alikakos
Konstantine Alikakos was born in Hong Kong SAR while his parents accompanied now Archbishop Nikitas Loulias of Thyateira and Great Britain during mission trips into China and Southeast Asia. From there, Konstantine and his family came back home to Chicago where his father became a priest of the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago. His whole family descends from a line of proud Laconians who immigrated to the United States in the 1950’s.
Konstantine grew up in the suburbs of Chicago and went on to attend Loyola University Chicago where he earned a Bachelors of Science degree in Biology. In his time at LUC, Konstantine met a beautiful Kalymnian woman and now fiance, Maria Mamouzelos, who is also the current Communications Director for NHSA. Throughout his educational career, Konstantine participated in a number of organizations such as Hellenic American Leadership Council, Orpheus Hellenic Folklore Society, Hellenic Dance Festival, Midwest Hellenic Dance festival, YAL Chicago, Charger Squad, Metropolis of Chicago COVID-19 Relief Fund and received the Faith Endowment Scholarship. Konstantine currently pursues a Doctorate of Osteopathic Medicine degree at Rocky Vista University College of Medicine. As the new North Central Regional Representative on the NHSA board, Konstantine hopes to expand the scope of NHSA to also encompass the Rocky Mountain states and provide a focal point for young hellenes to rally around to not only celebrate our shared Hellenic heritage but also produce support for young academics to thrive and change the world. |
Southeast: Francesca Rimbos
Francesca Rimbos was born and raised in Hinsdale,IL. She is a second generation Greek, her roots stemming from Lefkada. Growing up Francesca spent a lot of her time in Syvota a small fishing village where her Yiayia was from. She currently attends Nova Southeastern University which is located in Ft. Lauderdale,FL. She is in the Dual admission program at NSU to become a dentist and later on an orthodontist. Francesca is a part of Young Adult League at Saint Marks Greek Orthodox Church in Boca Raton,FL and is continuing to lead young minds into Greek culture. She is also a part of Syrtaki dance group at Saint Marks Greek Orthodox Church. Francesca joined NHSA to promote Greek culture through the community. Greek culture is a part of Francesca’s everyday life and being able to spread Hellenism through her position as Regional Director of the Southeast brings a smile on her face. In her free time Francesca enjoys outdoor activities and traveling with family and friends. She is excited to be a part of such a great organization and work with different leaders from all over North America and Greece to promote Hellenism.

Digital Marketing Strategist: Eva Kourlesi
Evanthia Maria Kourlesi was born and raised in Patras, Greece. She is currently in her Sophomore year at the University of Delaware, pursuing a Bachelor’s degree double major in International Relations as well as International Business Studies. Eva is also on the Executive Board of the Hellenic Student Association at the University of Delaware.
Her experience with being an intern at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Greece gave her the opportunity to view the political and economic circumstances of our homeland from an insider’s view and immediately decided she wanted to take action using her studies to do so. It is with great enthusiasm that Eva has been offered the position of the Digital Marketing Strategist for the National Hellenic Student Association. She enjoys attending Hellenic events in order to promote Hellenism in North America, as well as connecting like-minded people with Greek roots from all around the world. Eva is also a member of AHEPA & Daughters of Penelope. |
Consultant: Antonia Macris
Antonia Macris is a first-generation Greek Canadian born and raised in Montreal, Quebec, Canada, with Hellenic roots from Zakynthos and Samos, Greece. She has completed an MA in Educational Technology and MEnv in Environmental Assessment at Concordia University and a Graduate Diploma in Public Relations and Communications Management at McGill University. She has been involved with NHSA since 2014, having attended eight conventions and is serving this year as a Consultant.
Antonia’s interests aim to advance global environmental education and sustainable behaviour change communication across corporate, national and international sectors. She has previous work experience with the United Nations Environment Programme, environmental non-profits, youth organizations and at McGill and Concordia Universities, where she developed student-alumni engagement events programming for professional development and experiential learning opportunities. She is currently working as an Instructional Designer with Environment and Climate Change Canada. Antonia’s passion for preserving Hellenic cultural traditions has led to her volunteering with multiple Hellenic non-profit and philanthropic organizations, including as current Board of Directors Member of the Hellenic Community of Greater Montreal and of the AHEPA Family Charitable Foundation of Canada (AFCFC). Previously held leadership positions include President of Maids of Athena Montreal Chapter Electra 52, President of the McGill Hellenic Student Association, Vice-President of the Hellenic Student Association of Concordia and Vice-President External of La Troupe Folklorique Grecque Syrtaki Dance Group. Antonia is very excited to be able to bring her experiences and knowledge in supporting hellenic youth initiatives into her role and to continue her support in promoting the Hellenistic ideals and mission of NHSA. |
Consultant: Irene Coritsidis
Irene is a third-year student at the Florida State University College of Law. She is the President of FSU Law’s Trafficking in America Task Force and serves as class representative of the Student Bar Association. After interning with the Office of the Suffolk County District Attorney, Irene discovered her interest in public service. She has interned with the Florida House of Representatives and currently clerks with Florida’s Department of Business and Professional Regulation.
Born and raised in New York, Irene was heavily involved in the Hellenic community from a young age. Her Hellenic roots are based in Kalymnos (maternal) and Nisyros (paternal). In her first semester of college, Irene studied in Thessaloniki through American University’s Mentorship Program in Greece. She continued her Hellenic involvement in law school as NHSA’s Director of Communications last year. Irene earned her undergraduate degree from American University in Washington, D.C., where she studied Public Relations and Strategic Communications. As Vice President, she hopes to continue supporting NHSA’s initiatives in both undergraduate and graduate institutions. She looks forward to working alongside the board: organizing philanthropic and cultural events, preparing network opportunities, and fostering an environment where Greek-Americans can grow. |
Canadian Non-profit Director: Fotis Karantonis
Fotis was born and raised in the heart of Toronto’s Greektown. His Greek roots are from Karditsa on his father’s side and Sparti from his mother’s side. Fotis received his Bachelor of Commerce from the Ted Rogers School of Management at Ryerson University, majoring in hospitality and tourism management. His education at Ryerson consisted of a theoretical knowledge base and practical skill set, preparing him for the hospitality & tourism industry. In 2015, Fotis attended the Pan-Messinian Kalamata University Program where he participated in Greek language, history and music classes. He also toured all over the Peloponnese with students of Greek descent from all over the world. During this trip, Fotis developed a deep appreciation for the connection of the Greek Diaspora. For two years he was President of the Hellenic Students Association at Ryerson University, which allowed him to get involved with the Ryerson Student Union, collaborate with a variety of student groups and engage with the Greek student body. Most importantly, he had the chance to practice various skills that can be applied in the professional world such as leadership, team building, networking and marketing. Since 2018, Fotis has been in the food and beverage division at the Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto where he is growing his skill sets of the hospitality industry. Fotis is a member of the Hellenic Heritage Foundation’s Next Gen Committee. Fotis was the Toronto - Regional Director for his first two years in the NHSA executive board. In his third year, Fotis became Director of Operations. In 2021, Fotis became the first Canadian President of NHSA and made sure to achieve official non-profit organization status in Canada.
Fotis continued his time on the NHSA executive board as a consultant in 2022 and was very proud to Chair the long anticipated Toronto Convention in Fall 2022 which united Greek students and professionals with various events throughout the whole weekend. Moving forward, Fotis will have the position of Canadian Nonprofit Director to manage the Canadian entity of NHSA and to keep growing its presence in Canada. |
Scholarship Chair: Daphne Asteriadis
Daphne is a proud lifelong New Yorker. She holds a Bachelor’s degree from Davidson College with a major in Political Science and is now pursuing her Master of Health Administration at Columbia University’s Mailman School of Public Health. She is also a Senior Analyst at Mount Sinai focusing on population health strategy. Daphne is bilingual, and grew up going to Greek school at the Cathedral School in Manhattan and visiting her family in Thessaloniki every summer. Previously the NHSA Northeast Regional Director, Daphne looks forward to serving on the board in her new capacity as scholarship chair and to helping NHSA grow as a vibrant forum for young Greeks and Greek Americans.

Chief Negotiating Officer: Zac Cotronakis
Zac Cotronakis is an alumnus of The George Washington University, where he studied Economics and History until his graduation in May of 2022.
He is thrilled to serve his second term as NHSA’s Chief Negotiator in 2023. Zac previously served two terms as the NHSA’s Mideast U.S. Regional Director in 2020 and 2021. At GW, he is active within the Greek community and serves on the board of the GW Hellenic Student Association. Zac is passionate about celebrating and promoting Hellenism in the United States. In addition to his work with the NHSA, he serves as the National Chairman of the National Hellenic Society’s Young Professionals Network, the premier young professionals network for Hellenes in the United States, carefully designed to help connect Greek Americans to jobs, internships, and mentors across all professional fields. Professionally, Zac is an Associate at Manatos & Manatos, a Greek-owned lobbying firm that advocates for Greek, Cypriot, and Orthodox Christian interests in Washington. He is a native of Cleveland, Ohio (go Browns!) and grew up in Juno Beach, Florida. All four of his grandparents are Greek immigrants. His paternal roots hail from Chania, Crete and his maternal roots hail from Karlovasi, Samos |
